Ayodhya, India – The construction of the Ram Darbar on the first floor of Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is progressing rapidly, with the first gold door now being installed, according to Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra.
Temple Construction in Full Swing
The temple’s peak has been completed, and flagpoles were installed on 29 April, marking a significant milestone in its development. Rai further confirmed that all seven mandaps of the temple are expected to be completed by the end of April, with Ram Darbar idols arriving in May.
Speaking to ANI, Rai shared updates on the temple’s infrastructure: “Lord Shiva’s temple is being constructed at the northeast corner of Parajota, while the Sun God temple is on the southwestern corner… The target for temple completion remains October 2025, and Ram Darbar is expected to arrive in May.”
Installation of Idols and Rituals
The statue of Maharishi Agastya was recently installed in the Sapt Mandap, followed by a ceremonial worship ritual, which included the recitation of 108 names of Maharshi Agastya and praising Maharishi through Aditya Hridya Stotra. The statue was built with the support of Retired Director General of the Indian Border Security Force, KK Sharma, who attended the ceremony alongside his family.
Additionally, urns were installed at the Shiva Temple in the northeastern corner and the Surya Bhagwan Temple in the southwestern corner.
Completion Targets and Ceremonies
The temple’s construction is on track for completion by October 2025, with all mandaps expected to be finished within the first ten days of May. To mark the progress, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust conducted a Kalash Puja ceremony in April at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya.
A Monument of Faith and Legacy
As the temple nears completion, it stands as a monumental symbol of faith and devotion, drawing attention from across the country. The installation of the first gold door in the Ram Darbar reflects the grandeur and meticulous craftsmanship involved in the temple’s construction.
