New Delhi, Bharat: Chairperson of the Delhi State Haj Committee and BJP leader, Kausar Jahan, criticized the Congress party following a scuffle that erupted in the Parliament premises on Thursday. Jahan accused the Congress of resorting to hooliganism and disrespecting Dr. BR Ambedkar since India’s independence.
“Since independence, Congress has insulted Dr. BR Ambedkar. The Congress party has now resorted to hooliganism,” Jahan stated. She alleged that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi pushed a BJP MP and a woman MP during the altercation.
“Rahul Gandhi today pushed a BJP MP and a woman MP. Seeing this behavior, Ambedkar’s soul must be cursing him for this conduct. They talk about respecting Ambedkar, but Dr. BR Ambedkar had to leave the cabinet because of them. They did not allow his memorial to be built… BJP has strengthened Ambedkar’s reservation,” Jahan added.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also condemned Rahul Gandhi’s actions, accusing him of behaving like a ‘goon’ and intentionally causing a disruption during the BJP MPs’ protest at Makar Dwar in Parliament, which led to the scuffle between the ruling alliance and the opposition.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, Chouhan criticized Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, claiming their actions demonstrated a lack of accountability and respect.
“Congress President Kharge and Rahul Gandhi held a press conference here just a while ago. We were expecting him to seek forgiveness for the actions they committed in Parliament, but instead, their arrogance was on full display. Today, my mind is upset and heavy with pain. I have been a member of both the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha many times, and I have seen the conduct and behavior of the MPs and MLAs. What I saw in Parliament today was unimaginable—behavior full of arrogance and hooliganism,” Chouhan said.
He further stated, “MPs from any party have the right to protest on any issue. Congress has also been staging protests for the past few days. While they were protesting at Makar Dwar, we (the ruling alliance) used to enter the Parliament from the other entry. However, today when BJP MPs were protesting in Makar Dwar, Rahul Gandhi deliberately tried entering from the gate where the BJP MPs were protesting, even after security intervention.”
