US Vice President JD Vance is set to visit India next week, making stops in New Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. The trip will see him meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss shared economic and geopolitical priorities.
Vance, along with his family, will travel to Italy and India from April 18 to April 24.
In Rome, Italy, the Vice President will meet with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and also with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
A Focus on Shared Priorities:
The Office of the Vice President said, “Vice President JD Vance and the Second Family will travel to Italy and India from April 18 to April 24. The Vice President will discuss shared economic and geopolitical priorities with leaders in each country.”
Vance’s visit to India comes at a time when the two countries are strengthening their strategic partnership. The two nations have been working closely on a range of issues, including trade, defence, and technology.
A Warm Welcome Awaits:
India is likely to roll out the welcome mat for Vance. Earlier this year, during his visit to France, Prime Minister Modi gifted an eco-friendly wooden alphabet set to Mirabel Rose Vance, daughter of US Vice President Vance, a gesture that highlighted the warm relationship between the two leaders.
A Busy Schedule:
Vance’s visit to India will include meetings with Prime Minister Modi, as well as engagements at cultural sites. This trip is sure to further strengthen the ties between the two countries and pave the way for even closer collaboration in the future.
What are your thoughts on the growing strategic partnership between India and the United States? Do you think this visit will be a significant step towards strengthening ties between the two countries?
