New Delhi, India – Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a review meeting on the Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS) portal at the Delhi Secretariat on 14 May, emphasizing swift resolution of public complaints.
Key Directives from the CM
- Installation of complaint boxes in DM, SDM, and Sub-Registrar offices, directly monitored by the CM’s Office.
- Updating the PGMS system to ensure public accessibility and faster resolution.
- Strict timeline enforcement—“No pending complaint will be accepted,” the CMO stated on X (formerly Twitter).
Criticism of Previous Governments
Gupta criticized previous administrations, describing the grievance redressal system as a “complete failure.” She assured extensive efforts toward an updated system that would bring efficient governance and transparency.
“Our government is practising zero tolerance on corruption… We are setting up complaint boxes that will be directly handled by the CM’s office,” Gupta emphasized.
CM Gupta Praises Indian Armed Forces & Tiranga Yatra
On 13 May, Gupta voiced strong support for the Indian armed forces, stating: “140 crore Indians stand in support of the armed forces and PM Modi. The armed forces fought bravely against Pakistan and gave a befitting reply to terrorists.”
She expressed gratitude to military personnel during the Tiranga Yatra, a nationwide campaign launched by the BJP, running from 13 to 23 May, aimed at honoring Indian soldiers and highlighting Operation Sindoor’s success.
Looking Ahead
With a refocused approach to public grievances, Gupta’s administration is set to enhance governance transparency while reinforcing security and national pride through public initiatives.
