The eagerly awaited live-action adaptation of ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan,’ starring Anupam Kher, has received a new release date. Initially scheduled for May 24, the movie will now hit cinemas on May 31, as announced by the film’s makers in Mumbai.
Recently, the makers unveiled the teaser, generating excitement among fans. Directed by Rajiv Chilaka and produced by Rajiv Chilaka and Megha Chilaka, this marks the first live-action rendition of the beloved animated show.
Penned by Niraj Vikram, the film is co-produced by Srinivas Chilakalapudi and Bharath Laxmipati. Anupam Kher, who portrays Guru Shambhu, shared the teaser on Instagram, inviting viewers to join Bheem and his fearless gang in their quest to protect Dholakpur against Damyaan’s threat.
Apart from Kher, the film features Makrand Deshpande and Yagya Bhasin in pivotal roles. The project was officially announced last year in Mumbai, commemorating 15 remarkable years of the animated series.
In addition to Kher’s portrayal of Guru Shambhu, Makarand Deshpande embodies Skandhi, while Yagya Bhasin brings Chhota Bheem to life, and Aashriya Mishra shines as Chutki. Surabhi Tiwari, known for her role in Shagun, portrays Tuntun Mausi.
Directed by Rajiv Chilaka and written by Niraj Vikram, ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ promises an enthralling cinematic experience. Co-produced by Srinivas Chilakalapudi and Bharath Laxmipati, the film is set to grace theaters on May 31, 2024.
