Celebrating Sai’s Soaring Achievement: A Proud Moment for NZ Kannada Koota

New Zealand Kannada Koota is immensely proud to celebrate the inspiring achievement of one of our own, Officer Cadet Saikrishna Bangalore, who recently represented New Zealand in the prestigious International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) in France, 2025.

Sai’s journey through this international programme stands as a shining example of what dedication, passion, and perseverance can accomplish. Representing No. 3 (Auckland City) Squadron, New Zealand Cadet Forces, Sai embarked on a two-week life-changing experience, joining cadets from Belgium, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Korea, Hong Kong, Germany, and other parts of the world. Together, they shared not just a deep love of aviation, but also a spirit of friendship and cultural exchange that transcended borders.

A Journey of Discovery and Growth

From Paris to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier, and the breathtaking Pyrenees, Sai immersed himself in both aviation excellence and cultural richness. His programme highlights included:

  • Exclusive visits to Air France Industries, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC), and the Charles de Gaulle airport control tower.
  • A rare behind-the-scenes look at the Bureau of Investigation for Air Accidents (BEA), appreciating the vital role of safety in aviation.
  • Witnessing aviation innovation up close at the Airbus A350 Final Assembly Line and learning at the global hub of aviation education, ENAC (French Civil Aviation University).
  • Exploring the Space Museum and Aeroscopia Museum, sparking new ideas for future possibilities in the aerospace field.
  • Cultural celebrations including the Bastille Day aerial parade, rafting in the Pyrenees, and a thrilling flight over Montpellier with the local aero club.

This was more than a technical or cultural exchange—it was also a personal transformation. Sai honed his skills in leadership, teamwork, independence, punctuality, and cross-cultural communication. Above all, he fostered deep global friendships that will remain a lifelong source of joy and inspiration.

Pride for Our Community

For us at New Zealand Kannada Koota, Sai’s achievement is more than just individual success—it is a story of community pride, reflection of values, and inspiration for our youth. Sai has demonstrated that with vision, discipline, and openness to the world, the sky is truly the limit.

We celebrate Sai not only as a dedicated Officer Cadet but also as a representative of our vibrant Kannada community in New Zealand. His journey in France mirrors our very own spirit of unity in diversity and curiosity in growth.

Looking Ahead

As Sai himself shared, IACE France 2025 was more than just a trip — it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that shaped the way I see the world, aviation, and myself.

We at NZKK could not be prouder of Sai’s accomplishments and the hope they ignite for future generations. His story reminds us that our youth carry the torch of possibility, carrying both New Zealand and our Kannada heritage to new heights.

We wish Sai continued success as he soars higher in his aviation journey and serves as an inspiration to the entire Kiwi-Kannadiga community.

Congratulations, Sai — You flew with passion, represented with pride, and returned with wisdom. Your community cheers for you today and always!
