Protests erupted across Karnataka condemning the attack. Advocates Associations across the state staged demonstrations demanding justice for the victims and stronger measures to curb terrorism. The Jamia Masjid and several civil society groups organized a protest march, denouncing the violence and calling for unity against extremism.
Government Support
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar reached out to the bereaved family, offering condolences and support. He also instructed the Shivamogga district in-charge minister and the district administration to personally meet the family and extend all necessary assistance.

Rao was on a family vacation as part of a tour package when he was shot dead on Tuesday. Terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists, resulting in multiple casualties and widespread outrage.
