Namaste.
We feel happy to present you BNZ NEWS on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi festival.
A fortuitous meeting at the World Hindu Congress in Bangkok on November 18th, 2023, became the genesis of BNZ News.
Sri Swamy Vigyananand ji, the founder of the World Hindu Economic Forum, has formed a core team of volunteers to work for World Hindu Congress. On November 18th evening, Swamiji informed me that a gentleman named Dr. Vinay Karnam Ji, visiting from New Zealand, would be sharing accommodations at our flat.
Vinay Ji arrived late that night, and as we got acquainted, we discovered a shared passion for our respective fields. I, deeply involved in media, found myself engrossed in learning about Vinay Ji’s expertise in nuclear science. The conversation flowed effortlessly through the night, revealing a mutual respect and a surprising common thread – both of us hailed from Karnataka.

During our stimulating exchange, I mentioned my vision of expanding Bharat 1 Group’s media presence internationally, including several satellite news channels in India. Recognizing Vinay Ji’s enthusiasm for media, I proposed a bold idea: “We aim to launch Bharat 1 news channels in various countries. Why not spearhead the project in New Zealand?”
Without a moment’s hesitation, Vinay Ji’s response resonated with unwavering commitment, “Yes, absolutely! With you next to me, I’m on board.”
His humility and genuine desire to contribute through BNZ News were truly inspiring. Vinay Ji, despite his accomplishments in nuclear science, possessed a down-to-earth demeanor and a willingness to help others. His profound knowledge became evident only through conversation, perfectly balanced by a jovial personality.

Fueled by this chance encounter and shared goals, we embarked on charting the course for BNZ News. The name itself emerged organically from our brainstorming session. “BNZ,” I suggested, “stands for Bharat and New Zealand, perfectly capturing the essence of our bi-focal mission.” Vinay Ji’s immediate approval solidified the name, and with that, the seeds of BNZ News were sown in the heart of Bangkok at World Hindu Congress 2023.
BNZ News marks a momentous milestone for Bharat 1 Group – our first international venture, paving the way for many more to come. We plan to establish news channels in various countries, each with a distinct brand identity tailored to local collaborations.
