Kokrajhar, India – A mild earthquake measuring 2.7 magnitude struck Kokrajhar, Assam, on Tuesday night, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
Details of the Tremor
The seismic activity occurred at 11:05 PM IST on 7 May 2025, at a depth of 20 kilometres. The NCS reported the quake’s coordinates at latitude 26.35°N and longitude 90.01°E.
Sharing the update on social media platform X, NCS wrote: “EQ of M: 2.7, On: 06/05/2025 23:05:55 IST, Lat: 26.35 N, Long: 90.01 E, Depth: 20 Km, Location: Kokrajhar, Assam.”
