Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, departed for Srinagar to assess the situation and oversee the security response to the attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also strongly condemned the attack, offering condolences to the bereaved families and assuring all possible assistance to those affected.
