South Africa has announced its 16-member squad for the upcoming two-Test series against Zimbabwe, set to take place at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo from June 28 to July 10. The squad features five uncapped players, including rising batting sensations Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Dewald Brevis, who have been rewarded for their stellar domestic performances.
Emerging Talent in the Squad

Dewald Brevis, known for his aggressive batting style, amassed 573 runs in 12 innings, including two hundreds and two fifties, averaging 47.75. His selection reflects his growth and maturity in the longer format, as noted by head coach Shukri Conrad.
Other Uncapped Players and Squad Composition
Joining Pretorius and Brevis in the squad are:

Senior Players Rested

Coach’s Perspective
Head coach Shukri Conrad expressed excitement about exposing young talents to the demands of Test cricket, stating: “This tour provides the ideal platform to see how they respond to the challenges of the longer format.”
Looking Ahead
With a blend of youth and experience, South Africa’s squad aims to build depth and test emerging talent in the Zimbabwe series, offering a glimpse into the future of Proteas cricket.
