Tulsi Gabbard Announces Public Release of JFK, RFK Assassination Files

US Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has announced the public release of previously classified records related to the assassinations of former President John F Kennedy (JFK), Senator Robert F Kennedy (RFK), and the Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK). This release, Gabbard stated, fulfills President Donald Trump’s commitment to maximum transparency.

Gabbard emphasized President Trump’s promise to rebuild trust in the Intelligence Community (IC) and federal agencies by releasing previously classified records. She highlighted the significance of this release, particularly for the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, saying that the American people will have the opportunity to review the federal government’s investigation for the first time.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence confirmed that the Director’s Initiatives Group (DIG) was tasked with digitizing, declassifying, and preparing the RFK and MLK files for public release. The first tranche of RFK files, consisting of approximately 10,000 pages, is now accessible online at archives.gov/rfk. These files have been published with minimal redactions for privacy reasons.

This release marks a significant step towards greater transparency regarding these historical events, allowing the public to access information previously withheld.
