Ananya Panday has made history, becoming the first Indian brand ambassador for the iconic French luxury fashion house, Chanel. The 26-year-old actress is also the only Indian to hold this prestigious position with the label, founded by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in 1910.
Panday shared the exciting news on Instagram, expressing her gratitude and excitement for this new chapter.
“Beyond grateful and excited for my journey with @chanelofficial. The first-ever brand ambassador for and from India. Dreams really do come true,” she wrote.
A Fashion Milestone:
Panday’s appointment follows her appearance at the Chanel Spring-Summer show during Paris Fashion Week last year. She walked the ramp for designer Rahul Mishra’s “Superheroes” collection, marking her debut at the prestigious fashion event.
Upcoming Film:
On the work front, Panday will next be seen in “Kesari Chapter 2,” starring Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan. The film, set to be released on April 18, 2025, is a follow-up to the successful “Kesari” film, which focused on the Battle of Saragarhi in 2019.
Panday’s appointment as Chanel’s brand ambassador is a major achievement, solidifying her status as a rising star in Bollywood and a fashion icon. It’s also a significant moment for Indian representation in the global fashion world.
What are your thoughts on Ananya Panday’s appointment as Chanel’s brand ambassador? Do you think this will open doors for other Indian actors to be represented by international fashion brands?
