Los Angeles, US – Disney has revealed plans to open a new theme park in Abu Dhabi, marking its seventh global Disney theme park resort. The tech-centric park, developed in partnership with Miral, will be located on Yas Island, a premier destination for entertainment and tourism.

Blending Disney Magic with Abu Dhabi’s Culture

According to Disney, the upcoming waterfront resort will seamlessly combine iconic Disney stories, characters, and attractions with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant culture, stunning shorelines, and breathtaking architecture.

The theme park will feature:

CEO Bob Iger on the Historic Announcement

Disney CEO Bob Iger described the project as a landmark moment, stating: “This is a thrilling moment for our company as we announce plans to build an exciting Disney theme park resort in Abu Dhabi, a city rich in arts and creativity. It will blend contemporary architecture with cutting-edge technology, offering guests deeply immersive experiences in unique and modern ways.”

Iger further emphasized that Disneyland Abu Dhabi will be “authentically Disney and distinctly Emirati,” bringing timeless characters and stories to life in new and innovative ways.
