Amritsar, India – Major General Kartik C. Seshadri, GOC 15 Infantry Division, has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, emphasizing that Operation Sindoor is only paused, not concluded, and cautioning against any further misadventure.
India’s Decisive Military Action
Seshadri underscored India’s military success, stating: “Operation Sindoor scored an emphatic and decisive victory, achieving all political and military objectives with consummate professionalism. Pakistan must refrain from any further misadventure.”
He added that the Indian Armed Forces are acutely aware of Pakistan’s military weaknesses, warning: “If Pakistan escalates, we will respond with annihilating force, ensuring complete destruction if needed.”
Role of India’s Air Defence Systems
India’s Air Defence units played a crucial role in repelling Pakistan’s missile and drone attacks, including:
- AKASH missile system
- L-70 Air Defence Guns
These systems protected key locations, including the Golden Temple in Amritsar and major cities in Punjab.
Indigenization and Defence Reforms
Seshadri highlighted India’s commitment to modernization and self-reliance, aligning with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s declaration of 2025 as a year of reforms.
“The Army remains focused on transformation, with indigenization playing a significant role in our path toward self-reliance,” he stated.
Multi-Layered Air Defence Strategy
India has deployed a multi-tiered air defence framework, integrating:
- Advanced tracking systems and fire control radars
- Gun and missile weapons for all-weather capability
- Joint resources from the Air Force and Navy
The indigenously developed AKASH system integrates all defence assets, enabling rapid decision-making and effective countermeasures against hostile air threats.
Looking Ahead
With India’s Air Defence proving its effectiveness, military officials remain vigilant and prepared, reinforcing national security and regional stability.
